Description
Tymicha, Laedaemonian wife of Myllias from Crotone. She was a female Pythagorean who was asked by the Tyrant Dionysius to reveal the reason of the Pythagoreans not to eat beans.
Tymicha even with the threat of torture rejected to reveal the reason, bit of her tongye and spit it in the face of the tyrant.
